Reginald Mobley

American countertenor Reginald Mobley is globally renownedfor his purity of tone and deft interpretation of baroque, classical, andmodern repertoire. His debut solo album Because, released in 2023 on AlphaClassics, won both the Opus Klassik and the Edison Klassiek and earned a GrammyAward nomination; the Chicago Reader has heralded him as “a countertenor forour time.” Highlights of his 2026/27 season include debuts with the TamperePhilharmonic under Matthew Halls in James MacMillan's Requiem, the SanFrancisco Symphony with Rubén Valenzuela in Handel's Messiah, theNashville Symphony with Tucker Biddlecombe, the Hallé Concerts Society and theLondon Bach Choir in Bach's St. Matthew Passion under David Hill, andthe Sioux City Symphony in Orff's Carmina Burana with Ryan Haskins. An advocate for diversityin music, Mobley became the first Programming Consultant for the Handel andHaydn Society and leads a UK research project uncovering music by composersfrom diverse backgrounds.
