Peter Morgan

Hailed by Opera News as an “excellent and excitingbass-baritone,” Peter Morgan has earned a reputation as a dynamic performer atopera houses in the United States and abroad. Known for his “booming voice,” hehas recently entered the Wagnerian repertoire, singing Alberich in DasRheingold, Siegfried, and Götterdämmerung with Lyric Opera of Kansas City, WestEdge Opera, and Tacoma Opera. An established interpreter of new music, hispremieres include Gregory Spears's Jason and the Argonauts at Lyric Opera ofChicago and John Corigliano's The Ghosts of Versailles at L'Opéra Royal deVersailles. His current season includes Bardolfo in Falstaff with Chicago OperaTheater, an Opera Southwest debut in Aida, and Handel's Messiah with the ApolloChorus of Chicago. A Glimmerglass Festival veteran, he is a graduate of RiceUniversity's Shepherd School of Music.
