Jessica is the owner of Contemporary Dance Studio and Founder of Flux Dance Company, with over 20 years of teaching, choreographing, and mentoring dancers. A former professional performer, she is dedicated to expanding access to the performing arts in Siouxland.
Hello! My name is Jessica McCully, Artistic Director of Jensen Performing Arts Center, and I will be the rehearsal director for the upcoming show. Below you will see important information regarding the next few months after the auditions. Once auditions are complete and the cast has been set, I will send more detailed information on exact days/times for each rehearsal session.
We will be able to provide all of the items dancers will need under their costumes. Leotards, tights and ballet shoes for dancers who do not yet have them. Further details on costumes to come after audition. We will be dancing with a live orchestra, this means our schedule show day will appear slightly different than what is listed on the nutcracker.com website.

*This is a closed casting we ask that parents leave the building during auditions, if your dancer is done early they will call you for pick up arrangements.
What to wear: This audition is a learning experience for many young dancers, and we want it to be a positive experience for all. We ask that dancers wear their hair in a secure bun with all hair pulled back and out of their face. Pink or tan tights, leotard and ballet shoes. We know most dancers in this area may not have the full sole ballet shoes they can also wear their pirouettes or turning shoes.
What to bring: Water bottle that has a spill proof lid, pointe shoes if you would like to audition for possible pointe roles.
October 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th November 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th (NO rehearsal on November 1st)
What to wear: Same attire as audition
What to bring: water bottle that has a spill proof lid. Water can be purchased for $2 via the vending machine.
You will receive and email the following auditions with your dancers weekly rehearsal schedule. Rehearsals will be held on Saturday’s for one hour exact times will be announced according to dancers rolls.

Time: Please reserve this entire day beginning at 10:00am. A more detailed schedule will be provided 2 weeks before the performance.
Dancer’s will need to miss school on December 3rd for rehearsal. You can download a school absence letter from the website.
